Hello! Welcome to More Than a Book Review. My name is Leslie. I currently work full-time in higher education, volunteer with a handful of fabulous local non-profits, spend lots of time with my extended family including my two curious nieces and my insightful nephews, and, most of all, work really hard at figuring out how to be an effective mom of two boys and a fun-loving wife to my husband of eleven years.

I enjoy reading across genres. When I’m stuck on what to read next, my fall back is usually to look at classics (because they are easy to get on an e-reader!) or young adult. Horror, classic romance, and mystery are not often genres I seek out, but that’s not to say I won’t ever read it, just don’t expect to much from me regarding reviews in those genres.

I eagerly anticipate new releases from John Green, Rainbow Rowell, and Samantha Shannon. All three of these authors have caused me to “Geek Out” over pre-orders and new release teasers. I’m cyberstalking anything Samantha Shannon has to say about the next book in her series The Mime Order. My favorite classic authors are Jules Verne, HG Wells, and even though his books are insanely long Charles Dickens.
